PY: Tell us a little about who you are, what you do now and how you became the athlete you are today
My name is Vinicius Agudo. I am originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil. I began studying and training in martial arts at the age of 15 and have been training and competing ever since both in Brazil and in the US. I was awarded my Black Belt in December of 2013. My dream of becoming a black belt came true and I’ve been competing as much as I can, representing my team and myself by conquering the hardest challenges in the highest level of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I studied Physical Education in my hometown in Brazil and have also studied nutrition, weight lifting, crossfit and training in general. I am currently living in Connecticut teaching and competing in Brazilian jiu jitsu at Soul Fighters BJJ.
PY-How frequently and how do you train?
I work full time as a Brazilian jiu jitsu instructor/personal trainer. I train between 2 and 3 times a day on weekdays and do lighter training on the weekends. But I like to listen to my body and reduce the amount of training or/and take a rest day once in a while.
PY-Any dietary advice for our followers?
My diet pretty much consists of good carbs, protein, good fats and lots of water. I am a believer that everything you eat and the way you treat your body reflect in your life’s decisions and the goals you have. Having a healthy body makes it easier to live in every way.
PY-How did you discover Powerful Yogurt?
I first saw you a Facebook ad and that same week I was grocery shopping and there you were. I bought one to try and then had to go back on the next day to buy more!
PY-What do you like about PY products from a taste and nutrition standpoint?
The fact that the yogurt is packed with protein and fat free is just amazing. It has 7 more grams of protein than regular yogurts you can find out there.
PY-What’s your favorite flavor?
I can’t decide. I like the plain flavor for my smoothies in the morning and all the other flavored ones are awesome for snack time.
